I just started to swim 30 lengths three times a week, but instead of speeding up my loss weight as I had expected actually declined. My daughter thinks this may be because I started to build muscle I am a very tall woman and she thinks she can mean that I use more muscle than I pull the water. Is it good or just trying to make me feel better?
The muscle is heavier than fat. So that we can delay the global weight loss a bit. But slow down. Until bodybuilding should go. Muscle also requires more energy if the muscle cells burn more calories – even if you have nothing to do.
